milestones!

not that there aren't a million tiny changes every day- but she knows some words, she knows some letters (mostly o),  she knows blue & sometimes yellow, and the number 8.

but today she has done several tumblesaults AND finally started calling my mom something. it sounds more like buhramma than gramma, but,  we like it!

oh hai blog.

sorry, i kinda forgot about you.

cece started clapping this week!
she was pretty surprised when i got really excited about her clapping. now if we clap, she'll copy. you know how babies do. it's all very cute.

we had our friend Kierans first birthday party this weekend. ONE YEAR! cece started the party in a very cute dress, but it was impeding her mobility, so she spent the rest as our 'little irish prince' haha.

anyway. happy one year big K. it's been fun!

i can't stand it!

Cecelia got her first haircut today! she's not even 9 months! but since she'll be mini-flower girl in her uncle matt & auntie melisssa's wedding in a week & a half it was time. no more shaggy ragamuffin.

cece approves! still cute!

we of course took lots more pictures & even a video, so i'll try to post more soon

ah, a taste of spring.

It's back to dismal rain, but for a few glorious days we had warm & sunshine!

Cecelia, Baxter & I enjoyed it quite a bit!

We also had some nice weather this weekend for my cousin Beth's son Patrick's birthday party!
happy 2nd birthday!

Cece rocked official pigtails for the occasion.
we've done pigtails with barrettes a few times,
but this was the first with elastics :) totally cute.

Last week we had some excitement because of all the rain we had. The Taunton River flooded & closed rt 44. That is a very short walk from our house (fortunately our basement stayed mostly dry!) so we had to go and check it out.
Checking out the rising river w/dad.

Here is Cecelia's second cousin Kerrin checking it out with Baxter.

further down the road:

In other Cecelia news, she's trying to crawl these days but finds it very frustrating. she can go from sitting to crawling position, but then goes backwards! which equals lots of crabbing. she can pivot pretty well, and occasionally rolls around, but mostly lays around and fusses about it. she loves standing though, and i think if she could figure out how to stand up by herself, we'd all be in a lot of trouble!
I hates crawling mumma! crawling is for babies!
